Setting Up Your Business

How to setup or change your basic settings on your system!

When you first enter Elenore, you will be viewing the Dashboard. You need to scroll down on the left side of the screen, click on Settings, and then go into your Business Profile.

On the upper left segment, it says General Information. This is where you will upload your business logo. The requirements are listed here. You will add your business-friendly name, your legal business name, email, phone number, and your website, and your niche. Make sure you hit the blue button to update the information.

The Business Information, you select what type of business you have; the industry that you're in, a lot of organizers, select consumer; the business registration type. If you're in the United States, it's most likely an EIN. You would type in your EIN number under Business Registration Number. And if your business is not registered yet, you check the box, and it will gray that out.

Then you list, you check the box next to the Region of Operations and hit Update Information when you're done.

In the upper right corner, you pick the Business Physical Address, you type it in, select the time zone that you're in, and the language hit update.

The Authorized Representative box is typically referring to your business owner, so you would fill that out and hit Update Information. And then go through these settings under General to make sure that you have the one selected that you want for your entire account.

If you want to allow a Duplicate Opportunity, what that means is maybe one client has multiple projects and you want them separated, so you could allow Duplicate Opportunity.

Merge Facebook Contacts by Name, means if a Facebook message comes in and that contact already exists, it's going to match them up and merge them.

If you work only with people in one time zone, you could Disable the Contact Timezone. If you work with people in more than one time zone, you definitely want to leave that unchecked. Um, and then inside the contact, you will set the time zone for the contact, which might be different from your account, so that when you invite them to a meeting, it shows up correctly on both of your calendars.

Each of these other ones have a little "i" next to it, so I encourage you to read through these and discover what they mean and then you can decide if you want them or not.

Duplicate Contacts. Most people do not want to allow a duplicate contact. And if you leave this toggled off, what it will do is it finds the contacts based on their email address. If you attempt to put someone in a second time, it will warn you that that contact already exists. Then just ignore the section below. This is for deprecated features and it's not applicable to your account.
